Flightless birds
With the illusion of freedom
Do you see the strings keeping you out of the skies?
Do you choose to be blind to them?
Do you even know you can fly?

Flightless birds
There exists more than you see
There is an exit
But you are too busy
Playing their game.

This dreamscape portrays the natural state our souls revert to each night when we're asleep. When we wake up to our everyday reality, we always bring a piece of our dreams with us into our waking state. This piece is about being in between a state of dreaming and awake. The water peels away unnaturally to reveal the pure white light of consciousness.

Mushroom World is based on a recurring dream I had as a kid. In this dream, I was able to interact with and climb the mushrooms. Everything I picked up was thick and viscous, hence the suggested consistency of some of the objects in the scene. The water did not act like water, it was more like a mirror. I made this drawing very large so I could re-enter, and the viewer enter, my little world.
